WinGIS – Geographic Information System

WinGIS is an easy to use, easy to learn, powerful and cost efficient GIS software with extensive geographic application possibilities and facilities. Due to the integration of the online map data of Microsoft Bing Maps as „embedded Module“, the access to worldwide available geographic data like satellite and aerial images, road maps and address databases is already part of the software package. By using the ActiveX developer component, application developers have the possibility to link their application very easy with WinGIS in order to visualize, edit and administrate any data with a geographic relation.

Easy and quick generation of maps

• Create a new GIS project and define the geographic projection (e.g. UTM, Gauss-Kruger, ...)
• Import existing GIS/CAD data (e.g. SHP, DXF, ...) including database content
• Define / change the database structure in the WinGIS IDB (internal database user interface)
• Digitize new GIS objects (e.g. areas, lines, points, symbols, ...)
• Load satellite / aerial images (e.g. ECW, JPG, TIFF, ...)  with  geo reference (TAB files)
• Create thematic maps or ISO maps with the ISO Wizard module
• Analysis and editing (e.g. polygon partition, overlays, buffer generation, object search, ...)
• Process GPS data (online or offline)
